Its been downhil since. Never before or since has there been any television show which was so in sync w/ music, culture, fashion, technology...basically everything that was cool. This show affected on a weekly basis what kind of music was written, how that music's videos were shot, what kind of clothes men & women were wearing in those videos...etc, etc., etc...the list of what MV affected goes on & on & on. I'm not aware of any show before or since which made as many full-fledged "stars" out of one-shot guest stars. South beach miami because of MV was transformed from a slum, junkie flop area into the world-class tourist destination it still is 30 yrs later paid for w/ coke money that MV glamorized. I'd love to see some hard data on the increase of tourists due to MV. Hell the Ferrari company gave the show (2) cars free of charge because of its surge in sales due to MV. CharlieGlide Posted September 20, 2014 Report Share Posted September 20, 2014 Miami Vice has been on my mind so much this week. I've had to watch more than one episode. Some real random ones. I got home from work, very tired, and instead of motivating for the gym, I put on "Better Living Through Chemistry" followed by "Viking Bikers From Hell." The third season is a bit hit and miss, but I really enjoy some of the different tones used in the season. I'm pretty active on an Angels baseball message board. The Angels clinched their division this week and will be going to the playoffs. As part of this, there is the 'magic number' countdown wherein we all contribute various pictures or whatever associated with that night's magic number. For example, if the Angels' magic number is five, someone might post a pic of Albert Pujols who wears #5. Or maybe an image of the (gross) Five Guys hamburgers. As for me? I started with magic number five, posting a synopsis of the season and naming a couple favorite episodes. I did this all the way to Season One.
