Hi guys, here is my (really incomplete) report of my vacation in Miami. We spent a lot of time in South Beach, Collins Ave, Ocean Dr etc. so many memories... We had an apartment in North Village Bay, amazing view on the bay and SoBe. Below is a view of the bay from the terracepost-5426-0-85746900-1406631349_thumb.jp

We visited the Wolfsonian museum, great for modernism lovers, and the Dezer Automotive museum, a must for any Classic Cars enthusiast (as I am). They have a Hollywood section, with rides from popular movies and shows. One grabbed my attention.post-5426-0-50756900-1406631420_thumb.jp (the angle of the shot is not casual ;-)

We've also been visiting some of the MV places, as the restaurant used in one of the early episodes, now a Kenneth Cole store. Such a beautiful piece of architecture, too bad they cut away the palms in the lid's holes.post-5426-0-96515300-1406631454_thumb.jp

Btw, we decided to take a look inside and my lovely girlfriend found this pair of white slippers. Light, soft, fresh. Gifted, she's so sweet ;-)

post-5426-0-46297100-1406631470_thumb.jpThere were a lot of road works all the city thru, it was extremely hot and humid, definitely not the best month to visit Miami. Didn't see a single man with a jacket, I wonder how they could wear blazers and ties in the show... Global warming? The famous Jerry's famous Deli has closed forever. They tore down the signs and everything. It looks abandoned. Too bad.

post-5426-0-14299100-1406631486_thumb.jpWe spent a day in Key West, very bad wheather, but I had Sweet Freedom by Mike McDonald in the stereo, so it was sunny anyway. And driving roof down on my (rented) 2014 convertible white Mustang was pure fun.

As I said, I dropped the vice style many years ago, but some happenings worth well a look back ;-)

Interesting shot of a Daytona. Did they offer any history of the car in their display?

Sonny-Burnett, there were no infos about the car, which is likely not the actual one used in the show, but just one of the many McBurnies out there.

Btw, the car was in great shape and (to me) it seemed faithful to real thing in every detail. My shot is of course a citation of the ultra-famous nocturnal "wheel sequence", used and reused in the show ;-)

Yep the night time driving scenes and the parked shot in No Exit as well.

I know it wasn't used in the series....that honor is reserved for our member CameraDaytona who has the only car remaining of the two used in the show.

But there are many pretenders out there who claim their cars were used in the show, which is why I asked. Sounds like this museum doesn't make such a claim.

Btw, there aren't that many real McBurnies..the estimate by one of our knowledgeable members is that fewer than 50 were made, and far fewer are still out there remaining.

I liked your other pics as well,  btw.

Jerry B, you look exactly like Don Johnson, you are lucky man! :)

Crockettt, you're so kind. Thanks, pal.

Honestly I don't think I look like Don, but more than one person told me I have some "gesture" recalling him, not only in MV. I don't know... In my pics I guess that the clothes and the rayban just did the trick ;-)

I thought you were using a picture of DJ! The sun glasses & your hair makes the look.

Hey Tony, thanks for your comment :-) Yes, even if I've been told I have something recalling DJ, sure the clothes, the accessories and the hair did a good job ;-)
